DT für Crafty Calendar Challenge

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

da (schon wieder) ein neuer Monat begonnen hat, ist es auch Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Crafty Calendar. Unser Thema lautet diesmal:

Animal Antics.

Die Übersetzung fällt mir hier sehr schwer. Ich denke frei übersetzt, könnt Ihr alle Stempel benutzen, die etwas mit einem Tier zu tun habt. Bitte korrigiert mich, wenn ich hier falsch liege. Da ich einen Stempel unseres Sponsors benutzen durfte, musste ich glücklicherweise nicht lange überlegen. Meine Karte ist übrigens ein bißchen größer ausgefallen, nämlich DIN A5. DT für Crafty Calendar Challenge

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

gestern hat etwas verspätet die neue Challenge bei Crafty Calendar mit dem Thema begonnen:

Ostern.

Da meine Tochter schon bei der Entstehung des Körbchens Besitzansprüche anmeldete, ist die Deko kindlicher ausgefallen, als ich es eigentlich vorhatte. Außerdem besitze ich bis jetzt nicht allzu viele Osterstempel. Darum habe ich (bis auf den Stempel im Kronkorken) auf die Sticker im Paper Pad Spring Drop von First Edition zurückgegriffen. Da meine Tochter total auf Knöpfe steht, mussten solche natürlich auch drauf.

yesterday our new challenge at Crafty Calendar has begun a little behind schedule, themed:

Easter Egg-stravaganza.

At this point I first want to wish you, Lynne, a speedy recovery. Your commitment to our challenge blog is incredible and I wish you lots and lots of strength to master this difficult phase. 

When I began to make this little basket my little daughter immediately made claims for herself. So I've decorated it a little more childish as I originally wanted. Besides I didn't have much easter stamps except for this I've used with the bottlecap. So I've used some of the stickers from the paper pad "Spring Drop" from First Edition. And there must be some buttons as my daugther loves them!

Den Spruch von SU habe ich in weiß embossed und so auf den Henkel gestempelt, dass man ihn von beiden Seiten lesen kann.

The sentiment from SU is heat embossed  twice in white so that you could read it from both sides.

Und wenn Ihr Euch jetzt noch fragen solltet, womit der Korb denn gefüllt ist: das sind Holzeier. Ihr könnt Euch ja gar nicht vorstellen, was für einen Lärm man damit machen kann, wenn diese "aufgeschlagen" werden, um damit einen "Kuchen" zu backen. Könnte meine Tochter stundenlang betreiben.

Ach ja, das Stroh habe ich selbstgemacht (in gefühlt stundenlanger Kleinarbeit) indem ich einfach ein Blatt CS in ca. 3 mm dünne Streifen geschnitten und zusammengeknüllt habe. Finde ich persönlich ganz schön. Töchterchen eher nicht, denn das war das Erste, was aus dem Korb wieder rausflog.

And if you would like to know what's in the basket: these are wooden eggs! You wouldn't believe how much  

noise you could make with them if they had to be "knock open" to "bake" a "cake" with them. My daughter could make this all day long.

I make this pink straw by cutting a sheet of cardstock in approx. 3 mm strips and then scrunched it up. Though it was a lot of work I like the straw very much but I guess my daugther not. It was the first thing that has to leave the basket.

da letzte Woche gleich drei DT-Termine bei mir anstanden, hatte ich es leider nicht geschafft, die Karte für Crafty Calendar pünktlich fertig zu stellen. Aber ich liefere sie Euch jetzt nach. Thema unserer Challenge im Februar ist:

Für meine Karte habe ich das erste Mal einen Saturated Canary Digi verwendet, sie heißt Hugs and Kisses und war ein Freebie. Nachdem ich jetzt auch mal einen Stempel von Krista coloriert habe, bin ich noch mehr begeistert als ich es eh schon war. Sie sind ja auch einfach zu süß.

"Special Little Person" - DT für Crafty Calendar Challenge

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

neuer Monat = neue Challenge bei Crafty Calendar, diesmal mit dem Thema:

Etwas Neues.

Damit ist z.B. gemeint neuer Job, neue Wohnung, neues Baby oder aber auch neuer Stempel, neues Werkzeug, egal was, es muss nur für Euch neu sein.

Ich habe zwei Karten für ein in den nächsten Tagen erwartetes Baby gemacht. Da wir aber noch nicht wissen, ob unsere Freunde ein Mädchen oder einen Jungen bekommen, habe ich einfach beide Varianten abgedeckt.

 Coloriert habe nach langer Zeit mal wieder mit Distress Inks (Tattered Rose. Aged Mahagony/Fired Brick, Walnut Stain -  Milled Lavender, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick/Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Saphire -  Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood, Vintage Photo/Old paper).

Mit der Coloration der Rosa Variante bin ich aber nicht so ganz zufrieden, da gefällt mir Blau besser. Wenn man die volle Auswahl an Farben bei den Prismas hat und von den Copics besitze ich wahrscheinlich auch schon fast die Hälfte aller Farben, dann merkt man erstmal wie eingeschränkt man bei den Distress Inks in der Farbwahl ist.

Whats New?!

This could be a new job, new baby or a new stamp or new tool, you decide!

I've made two cards for a new baby which is expected in the next days. But our friends didn't tell us if it will be a boy or a girl so I made a card for both options.

For a change after a long time I've coloured with Distress Inks (Tattered Rose. Aged Mahagony/Fired Brick, Walnut Stain -  Milled Lavender, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick/Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Chipped Saphire -  Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood, Vintage Photo/Old paper).

But I'm not satisfied with the pink colouration, I like the blue one much more. I think the choice of colours is very limited with DI especially when you've the full range of Prismas and nearly the half of Copics.
